Program Background
BMA’s Capacity Building Program aims to strengthen existing health infrastructures and improve healthcare delivery services in underserved and remote areas of ethnic states in Eastern Burma.
BMA implements a three-pronged strategy for achieving these goals:
- core actions,
- capacity building, and
- coalition building.
|Since 2005, with funding from international donors, BMA has supported health worker training and health education programs.

Capacity building involves the efficient and effective planning of health systems and the training and continuous education of the health workers directly engaged with targeted communities. Trainings and workshops ensure that managerial staff, clinic staff, and community health workers have ongoing access to technical assistance, advancement, and educational opportunities
